Our Acorn Grant

Starting June 1, 2026, our Acorn Grant is the way our mission provides the most effective and powerful impact. A lower dollar grant, awarded more often through the year!

Every eight weeks, KMWDF awards two Acorn Grants of up to $1,500 each to qualified woodworkers with disabilities who need tools, supplies, or equipment to pursue their craft. These grants are designed for requests that fall on the smaller end of the spectrum but carry just as much meaning, because the right tool in the right hands can change everything.

Acorn Grants run on a consistent cycle year-round. Applicants should apply when their needs align with this grant level, and should only apply to one KMWDF grant program at a time.

Who qualifies: Applicants must have a disability as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and provide appropriate documentation.

Before you apply, please read the qualification and documentation requirements carefully. If you have questions, email before you apply at [email protected]
