How We Handle Your Information

We take your privacy seriously. Here is a plain-language summary of how we collect, use, and protect the information you share with us.

What We Collect

When you apply for a grant, sign up to volunteer, or apply to our Assisted Woodworkers program, we collect basic contact information and the supporting materials required to review your application. We collect only what we need and nothing more.

How We Use It

Your information is used exclusively to review your application, communicate with you about your status, and administer our programs. We do not use your information for marketing purposes and we do not sell or share it with third parties.

Medical Documentation

If you submit medical records or disability documentation as part of your application, those records are stored securely and accessed only by the small team responsible for reviewing applications. Once your application has been reviewed and you have been approved to our waitlist, your medical documentation is permanently deleted from our system. We do not retain sensitive medical records beyond what is necessary to complete the review process.

Volunteers and Assisted Woodworkers Participants

Contact and program information for volunteers and Assisted Woodworkers participants is retained for the duration of your active involvement with KMWDF. Volunteers may request that their record be closed at any time. Upon such a request, all personal information beyond basic contact details will be permanently deleted.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond within five business days.
