If you haven't done so already, please complete our attendee intake form by Wednesday, September 30 at 12:00 PM ET.
Bring a government-issued photo ID
Every guest must show a current, valid government-issued photo ID at check-in, such as a driver's license, state ID, or passport. This is Buffalo Trace Distillery policy. It applies to all visitors on their property and complies with the law. Guests without a valid ID cannot be admitted. Please double-check that your ID isn't expired before you leave home.
Arrival & check-in
- Park in the distillery's main visitor lot. Parking is limited, so please carpool if you can.
- Follow all signage for "Tours & Visitor Center."
- Check in at the Visitor Center. This is required. All guests must check in at the Visitor Center for ID verification and to receive event credentials. You won't be admitted to any Grain to Grain event space until you've checked in.
- Proceed to the event space. On Friday, signs will direct you to Warehouse J. Visitor Center staff can also give you directions.
Please arrive 20–30 minutes early so there's time for check-in. While you're on the property, all attendees are required to follow posted signage and comply with all directions and requests from Buffalo Trace staff.

Friday, October 2
What
Distillery Tour & Private Tasting: a private guided tour, then a meet and greet with Jonathan and Jason. Flatbreads, cider bourbon and old fashioned cocktails, live music, yard games, firepit seating, and early silent auction bidding.
When
3:00–7:00 PM. Arrive 20–30 minutes early to check in; the tour departs at 3:15 PM sharp.
Where
Check in at the Buffalo Trace Visitor Center, then follow signs to Warehouse J.

After hours
The Kentucky Hug Bourbon Bar, 325 St. Clair Street, once the Buffalo Trace event wraps up. Open to everyone. Cash bar.
Saturday, October 3
What
Campus tours and demos with Jonathan and Jason, then cocktails, a served dinner, the story of KMWDF, and the live auction.
When
Tours & demos 11:00 AM–3:00 PM. Free time 3:00–6:00 PM (all guests must exit the campus). Cocktails 6:00 PM, dinner and auction to follow.
Where
Tours and demos at Whiskey Woodcraft; evening at the Elmer T. Lee Clubhouse. Check in at the Visitor Center again before 6:00 PM with your ID, and bring back any wristband or lanyard from the day.

After hours
Doc Crow's Social, 109 W. Main Street, once the charity dinner wraps up. Open to everyone. Cash bar.
What to wear
- Friday, and Saturday tours and demos: Dress casually and comfortably. Wear closed-toe shoes that are comfortable for walking, since the tours cover some uneven ground.
- Saturday evening: There's no dress code, but we suggest smart casual.
Kentucky evenings in October can be cool, so bring a layer.
Getting around
Please plan a safe ride to and from each event, including the after-hours gatherings. That could be a rideshare, a taxi, or a designated driver.

Demos and Q&A with Jonathan Katz-Moses and Jason Hibbs. VIP ticket holders receive a free, engraved personalized Buffalo Trace barrel head; all other attendees can order one on-site with a donation to KMWDF.
3:00 – 6:00 PM
Free time. All guests must exit the Buffalo Trace Distillery campus. Use the break to rest, explore Frankfort's shops, restaurants, and local sights, and get ready for the evening.

Make a weekend of it
Frankfort in early October is worth the extra day if your schedule allows. The surrounding bluegrass countryside is heading into fall foliage season, and the drive along the Kentucky River and through the nearby horse farms is one of the prettier routes in the state. Downtown Frankfort also has a walkable strip of local shops, antique stores, and restaurants worth exploring before or after the event.

Warehouse J, the Whiskey Woodcraft workshop, and the Elmer T. Lee Clubhouse are all wheelchair accessible, as are the guided tours of the Buffalo Trace campus. Accessible restrooms and parking are available at each venue.

Everyone is safe, respected, and welcome
Grain to Grain is built on community, craft, and generosity, and we want every attendee, sponsor, vendor, and guest to feel that from the moment they arrive. This weekend is safe and welcoming for everyone, regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, body size, or background. Harassment, discrimination, and unsafe behavior of any kind are not tolerated, by attendees, staff, sponsors, or hosts.
What we don't tolerate
- Harassment, including unwanted comments, jokes, or physical contact related to someone's identity
- Sexual harassment or unwanted advances of any kind
- Discrimination or deliberately excluding someone based on who they are
- Photographing or recording attendees without their consent
- Intimidation, stalking, or following someone who has asked to be left alone
- Pressuring anyone to drink and/or to drink beyond their comfort level
- Any threat or act of violence
What happens after a report
- Reports go to the KMWDF team and are kept as confidential as possible
- We may ask the person responsible to leave the event, without a refund
- We'll involve venue security or local authorities if the situation calls for it
- We follow up with anyone who makes a report to make sure they feel supported and heard
