Our Mighty Oak Grants

Once each quarter, KMWDF awards a Mighty Oak Grant of up to $10,000 to a woodworker with a larger need. Whether that means the purchase of a premium bandsaw, adding more costly adaptive or assistive equipment, or taking a real step forward in developing a hobby, craft or business with some serious upgrades, the Mighty Oak Grant exists to make a life-altering improvement in a woodworker’s shop and permanently change their trajectory of their life.

Like the Acorn Grant, the Mighty Oak Grant runs on a regular, quarterly schedule. Applicants should apply when their needs align with this grant level, and should only apply to one KMWDF grant program (an Acorn Grant or a Might Oak Grant) at a time.

Who qualifies: Applicants must have a disability as defined by the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) and provide appropriate documentation.

Before you apply, please read through the qualification and documentation requirements. If you have questions, please contact us before you apply at [email protected] .
